Ministry Intern: Monmouth Baptist Church

Monmouth Baptist Church are looking for an intern mainly working alongside the pastor, fully engaging in all aspects of church life and outreach – especially in schools.

Your time will be split between three areas – training and study (30%), ministry (40%) and practical service (30%). You can expect a fairly well-structured week. Training will involve attendance at the South-West Gospel Partnership’s ministry training in Bath on Thursdays as well as individual mentoring and guided study, or, if a graduate, joining the Welsh Borders Learning Community to participate in the GDip in Theology course. The goal is to encourage all-round spiritual formation. Travel costs would be covered.

The range of ministries is wide, but especially focused on Bible teaching and school focused children and youth work and we will try to provide opportunities to specialise as the year progresses. If you feel called or gifted in a particular direction, we will explore that with you. And we will also be exploring what the Lord’s further plans may be – this scheme is just one step, after all. Practical service involves helping to facilitate the church’s many ministries throughout the week. It will include some admin and practical work.
